ON INTERIOR DESIGN:

LORI: “As a former international fashion model, I’ve developed a keen eye for colour, fabric pairings and beautiful things. I love contemporary, but also classic design. I love mixing old with new to create a unique style. Gordon was my inspiration for our home’s design…. He brings love, harmony and tranquility. “

ON LUXURY:

LORI: “Luxury is the time we spend together, enjoying our home with friends, family, and our foster animals. Luxury is the ability to invest and help develop companies that will make an impact, improve healthcare, and, ultimately, save lives.”

ON THEIR CAREER:

GORDON: “We’re currently working with Epic Capital for their Epic Canadian Healthcare Fund. It is a long-term fund focused on unique private Canadian healthcare companies generally unavailable to the investing public and select public companies. We look for companies with scalable, non-replicable products and services protected with IP. Over the past several years, Lori has become more involved in the process of reviewing companies in the early stage Since I’m out several nights a week for such meetings…”

GORDON: “Where other women might get frustrated with a husband working long hours, Lori is supportive and encouraging.”

LORI: “I decided to get involved to spend more time and support him. “

LORI: “I see Gordon has such passion… I want to help him in any way I can.”

ON TAKING IN FOSTER DOGS:

LORI: “We have fostered over 40 animals, mostly dogs. Because we have expertise in dog training, we get many of the shelter dogs with behavioural issues so that we can retrain them. We like to take the “underdog”; the blind dogs, the deaf dogs, the aggressive dog or the active dog. With positive reinforcement, we are able to rehabilitate these dogs because they are able to live in the moment, unlike humans. They teach a lesson of moving forward that we can all learn from.”
