Breitling, the luxury Swish watch company, is doing its part to recognize and support the efforts of frontline healthcare workers – the real heroes of our time.

Timely launched on May 19, Breitling’s SuperOcean Heritage ‘57 II features this Limited Edition blue dial and rainbow hour-markers to symbolize hope and optimism. As a nod to the original 1957 SuperOcean, the Heritage ‘57 Capsule collection features the similar design details of the cool and colourful surf lifestyle of the 1960s. The 42 mm stainless-steel case features two signature elements of the original SuperOcean: a concave bidirectional ceramic bezel and a dial featuring oversized indices.

Breitling acknowledges that COVID-19’s solution is contingent on the unwavering positivity and zealous selflessness of our global healthcare heroes, conveyed through this special-edition launch. The bright colourway commemorates the sacrifices and advancements made by the medical industry and the communal efforts for a global cause. Breitling’s wristwatches make a statement in both style and function with their robust technologies, including their Super-LumiNova® coating on the multicoloured hour markers, and the hour and minute hands.

A percentage of proceeds from purchases of the watch will be donated to the top charities supporting the frontline healthcare workers in the global fight against COVID-19. Breitling will congruently be donating an additional 1000 Swiss Francs/watch for the first 100 SuperOcean Heritage ’57 Limited Edition II sold on

In April of this year, Breitling streamed its first global Summit Webcast to accommodate the pandemic lockdown’s initial introduction of the SuperOcean Heritage ’57 Limited Edition launch. The rainbow-clad elements received overwhelming praise leading to Breitling’s second edition launch, with its blue dial, 1000-piece capsule.

In June, Breitling will also be auctioning the SuperOcean Heritage ’57 Limited Edition II watches through Charitybuzz, an auction-organization that supports an array of causes. These proceeds will be donated to Direct Relief, a US-based charity and the highest bidder will win an opportunity to live chat with Kelly Slater, a member of Breitling Surfers Squad and top surfer.

Breitling’s SuperOcean collection was created in 1957 as their classic dive watch for military and professional use, but quickly gained popularity amongst general watch enthusiasts and leisure divers. Great for athletes, adventure-seekers, and advocates of breaking records, the SuperOcean features multiple models that fuse style and functionality, including their SuperOcean II’s, Chronograph 44’s, and Heritage’s.

Breitling’s craftsmanship shows that it’s the small changes that make the biggest difference, and that’s why they relish in the details. Wristwatches that make a statement in both style and function, and now a cause, allow Breitling’s robust technologies to lead the way on your next adventure.
